CTIA Wireless 2009 Las Vegas
The CTIA Wireless Tradeshow is regarded as The Most Important Global Technology Event of the Year! The convergence of more than 1,000 exhibiting companies, dozens of industries, and over 40,000 professionals from 125 countries all working toward the common goal of revolutionizing wireless. Adept Group was there meeting with decision makers and discussing new services and solutions that are being developed in the US and the Rest of the World which will reach Japan in the near future.
The show was held in Las Vegas, NV and Adept Group was represented by a senior member of the consulting team. Las Vegas is a very popular venue with Technology companies due to its proximity to California’s famous Silicon Valley and its reputation as an entertainment hub for international business and leisure.
Our presence at such shows serves two purposes; firstly it is an opportunity to meet the newest and most dynamic companies in Emerging Technologies, and have the opportunity to discuss with Engineering Teams and Sales Leaders the technology on display so that we gain the knowledge of the newest and most innovative solutions before they reach Japan. The second purpose is to reciprocate our own expertise on the Japan and Asia-Pacific markets to discuss strategies for market entry and business development.
This proactive approach to meeting new business gives us a clear edge over our competitors as our finger is firmly on the pulse of the global market. With over 1000 exhibitors hosting at the show the opportunity for Adept to develop new business is huge; and this exposure is clearly why Adept Group has a constant pipeline of new and exciting career opportunities; many of which are exclusively managed by us. The show had an interesting array of technology on display; some of which would be of real interest to the Japan market and some that would do better in ASEAN countries due to the Telecom Infrastructure in place.
Trend watching; such as following the increase in adoption in technology such as Femtocells, and the scalable solutions offered through SMS and MMS vendors also provides valuable insights into future technology focus within our markets. It was also refreshing to see a number of strong Wimax Chipset providers at the show with new products ready for the Japan Market.
Also popular were a number of solutions aimed at Billing for the Telecoms market – from infrastructure and core systems to products and applications that facilitate potential revenue from leveraging services such as OSS and BSS systems. These products are becoming increasing popular within Japan as the Telecom Carriers aim to increase review per subscriber through offering new services within their existing infrastructure.
One of the key searches for 2009 was within the OSS Sector where Adept Group supported a US based company enter the Japan market by sourcing the Country Manager and Presales Engineer to establish operations. For further information on this search please visit our Case Study section.
